Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-20
This Cookie Policy explains how TisTos (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://tistos.com/ and in the Services, why we use them, and the choices you have.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data, and our Terms of Service.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. They let a website recognize your device, remember your settings and understand how the site is used.
- First-party and third-party cookies: first-party cookies are set by TisTos. Third-party cookies are set by other companies, such as analytics and advertising providers, whose services appear on or work with our pages.
- Session and persistent cookies: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
- Similar technologies: we and our partners may also use local storage and session storage in your browser, pixels and tags, scripts, and device identifiers. Unless we say otherwise, this policy applies to them in the same way as to cookies.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes. The cookies in each category are listed in Cookies we use.
- Strictly necessary: needed to run the Services and keep them secure, for example to keep you signed in, protect forms against forgery, balance traffic, and remember your cookie choices and language. These cannot be switched off in our systems, and the Services may not work without them. They do not need your consent where the law allows.
- Functional: remember choices you make, such as language and theme, so that the Services work the way you prefer.
- Analytics: help us understand how the Services are used, which features are popular and where problems occur, so we can improve them.
- Advertising: used by us and our advertising partners to show and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to the Services and to other websites, where permitted.

4. Third-party services we use
Analytics and advertising services
We use the third-party services below to understand how the Services are used and to show and measure ads. They set cookies and use similar technologies on your device, but only where the law allows it or you have given your consent. How they use your data is governed by their own policies, and the links in the table let you learn more and opt out. Advertising partners may use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to the Services and to other websites.
| Service | What it is used for | Learn more and opt out |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Web analytics service from Google. It helps us understand how the Services are used, such as which pages are visited and from which type of device and approximate location, so that we can improve them. | |
| Google AdSense | Advertising service from Google. It shows and measures ads on the Services, including ads based on your visits to the Services and to other websites. |
Other third parties
When you use features that involve another company, such as signing in with a third-party account, paying through a payment gateway, or viewing content embedded from another website, that company may set its own cookies. We do not control these cookies. Please check the cookie and privacy policies of those companies.
5. Pages and content published by our users
The Services let users publish their own pages and content, including on their own domains and under their own branding. When you visit content published by a TisTos user, that content, and any tools, embeds, analytics or ads the user has added, may set or allow cookies of their own. The user who published the content is responsible for the cookies it uses and for the notices and consent that the law requires. Please contact that user, or check the policies shown on their page, if you have questions about it.
We may also set technical cookies and similar technologies on such pages, for example to deliver the page, protect the Services and, where permitted, provide analytics to the user who owns the content, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your consent and choices
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: we set non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising cookies, only if you give your consent. Without consent, we do not use analytics cookies, and ads are not personalized and may be limited or not shown.
- US states with privacy laws: you may opt out of targeted advertising and the sharing of your data for advertising. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where the law requires it.
- Elsewhere: we ask for your consent or offer you a choice where the law of your country requires it.
When we show a cookie banner, you can accept, reject or customize non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on our website.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the use of cookies before you withdrew it.
7. How to manage cookies
- Our cookie settings: use the cookie banner or cookie settings on our website, where available, to choose which non-essential cookies you allow.
- Your browser: most browsers let you see, block or delete cookies, and to be warned before a cookie is set. The steps depend on your browser, so please check its help pages. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may stop parts of the Services, such as signing in, from working.
- Analytics and advertising choices: use the opt-out links in Third-party services we use to manage analytics and personalized advertising.
- Your device: mobile operating systems usually let you reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in the privacy settings of the device.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the way described in our Terms, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again. This policy may be provided in several languages for convenience; if there is any inconsistency, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
